The NOD-Pod counterweight pouch is a fully featured optional accessory for the V2 and V4 NOD-Pods that is meant to be a more affordable/practical alternative to remote battery pouches such as the Ferro, Mohawk, etc.
In addition to the amazing price, our pouch is also much more practical for the task at hand. It’s incredibly easy to access, while still being ultra secure, and it has integrated storage for additional weight if desired.
Hidden in the front flap, you will find a pouch with Velcro closure, which can hold four ounces of lead shot, eight ounces of tungsten shot, or anything else you might want to put in it. With the eight ounces of batteries in the NOD-Pod battery case counterweight itself, this can bring your total weight to as much as a solid pound, which is enough for even the heaviest systems out there.
In addition to all that, there are provisions for securing it to the helmet’s rails (bolt adapters are included if your helmet doesn’t have rails), as well as for stowing unused comms cables on both sides, plus loops for chem lights.
